What is a Dental Veneer?
Veneers are wafer-thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made to match the shape and colour of your teeth by a dental laboratory.
At Trimac Dental Centre, our dentists use veneers to create a more uniform smile for our patients. Your dentist bonds the restoration to the front of your natural tooth to change the symmetry, shape or colour of your smile.
Lumineers®
At Trimac Dental Centre, we offer Lumineers to our patients. Lumineers are a very thin type of veneer that can often be affixed with little to no removal of the natural tooth structure.
How Veneers Work
Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth which will be used to create your custom-fitted veneers.
Once your veneers have been made, they will be bonded to your natural teeth.
Made from a razor-thin piece of porcelain, veneers are custom-shaped to match your tooth. The porcelain imitates the natural translucency of tooth enamel and has a very natural look and feel.
Features of Veneers
If you are looking to alter the shape of individual teeth or the evenness of your whole smile, you may want to consider dental veneers as a less-intrusive alternative to dental crowns.
Conditions that dental veneers can resolve include worn, crooked, or discoloured teeth. They can also reduce unwanted spacing and change the size of your teeth.
Dental veneers can last for many years if cared for properly.
